The short, honest version.
Prices on Muses are derived from publicly available streaming data (Spotify monthly listeners, YouTube channel stats, chart positions). You can trade artists with virtual credits to see how the concept feels, but nothing on Muses constitutes the offer or sale of a security, derivative, or any other regulated financial instrument.
If Muses ever moves beyond a prototype into a real, money-handling product, we'll apply for the appropriate licenses in the jurisdictions we operate in, publish them here with registration numbers, and make clear who is regulated to do what. Until then, this page exists so no one has to guess.
Data ingested for pricing comes from Spotify (via their Web API and the public partner endpoint for monthly listener counts) and YouTube (Data API v3). Nothing on Muses implies endorsement or partnership by those platforms.
